Materialwelten

For the "Materialwelten" exhibition at the Technisches Museum Wien, we turned complex data into physical 3D infographics you can actually explore. We focused on five key materials: carbon, ceramic, glass, silicon, and wood. Instead of flat charts, we brought environmental facts into real space.

At the wood station, we specifically visualized the concept of cascading use. The physical piece illustrates the complete journey of wood as a perfect renewable cycle. It tracks the material from a living tree through its various product stages, all the way to the end of its life. Finally, the model shows how the released CO2 feeds right back into the forest to grow new trees, making a circular economy instantly easy to understand.
