Poolbar Festival 2025, Matthäus Jandl

For the 2025 Poolbar Festival, we spent ten days in Hohenems, Vorarlberg, working as the Grafik Gruppe GmbH to create the new look. The theme was »Wechselbad der Gefühle,« meaning an emotional rollercoaster. We wanted the design to constantly show movement and energy. To capture this, we created a simple optical trick using bright, shifting gradients that look like moving waves or a fast slideshow. It shows those natural ups and downs, jumping between calm moments and high tension.


The typography actively joins this motion. We chose the typeface Gravity by ABC Dinamo because it is highly variable. By shifting its weight and width, the letters themselves stretch and compress, allowing the text to directly mimic the flowing wave patterns rather than just standing still.

The result is very direct: through clear rhythms and repeating shapes, the design naturally grabs your attention while reflecting the shifting moods of the festival.
